Geometry

Over the last few weeks we have been looking at the faces, vertices, edges and nets of geometric shapes.

After designing our own geometric 'people' using polygons and plane shapes we then looked at everyday shapes.  Maths really is EVERYWHERE!

A cube with 6 faces.
Understanding edges and vertices - this cube has 8 vertices and 12 edges.

This rectangular prism (also known as a nut bar carton) has 6 faces - like a cube.

This cylinder has 2 edges and 0 vertices.
